Humeral Fracture Brace
The humeral fracture brace (HFB) is used primarily to stabilize fractures of the mid-shaft or diaphyseal portion of the humerus, and may be appropriate for some injuries to the proximal humerus as well. Many humerus fractures can be treated without surgery if adequate stabilization can be provided. The HFB provides circumferential support to the soft tissues of the upper arm and offers improved stability for a humeral long bone fracture. The HFB uses the Boa® Technology adjustable closure system to allow minute adjustments in compression. It can be tightened or loosened instantly as necessary. The brace may be used with or without a sling or shoulder immobilizer as appropriate. Close clinical supervision is essential for these injuries.
