Fariborz Boor Boor is the company’s co-founder and serves as its President and Chief Executive officer. He is a visionary business leader with 30 years of experience in all aspects of business creation, growth, and management with both private and public businesses. Prior to joining Exos, Fariborz co-founded Enova Medical Technologies and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2008. Fariborz was the President and CEO of VisiLED, Inc., a privately held medical device company from 2004 – 2006. Prior to Visiled, he served as the Executive Vice President of Synovis Life Technologies, a publicly held medical device company, and held the position as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Synovis Interventional Solutions. Fariborz holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry and Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.
Mark Joseph is the company’s co-founder and serves as Vice President of Design and Development. As the inventor of the technology and the designer of the company’s products, he is committed to further developing the company’s product portfolio. Mark designed and licensed his first product, a backpacking tent, in 1977 at the age of 21 in Berkeley, California. Mark holds or is named in 20 patents and has developed hundreds of individual products licensed to a wide array of companies. In the mid 90s, Mark started working exclusively on engineered products that brought innovation and improved customer experience to products for companies such as The North Face, Footjoy golf shoes, Redfeather snowshoes, Black Diamond mountaineering products. In 2000 he innovated and founded LitesNow, a revolutionary do-it-yourself adhesive track lighting company that sold to most of America’s leading retailers.
Douglas King serves as the company’s Vice President of Sales. Prior to joining Exos, Doug was the VP and GM of Waters Medical Systems. He became available to Exos following the sale of the company to Group Cair of Lyon, France. Previous to that, Doug was the CEO of Spineology, Inc. where he successfully developed and launched several proprietary spinal implants including the company’s lead product, the OptiMesh® Deployable Grafting System. Before Spineology, Doug was the VP of Clinical Network, Inc., VP of MedVision, Inc., President of K-L Healthcare, and Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing for Orthomet, Inc., where he was responsible for setting up and managing the comapany’s U.S. and international marketing, sales, and distribution systems. Doug received his B.A. Degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Brian Bowen serves as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Business Development. Brian began his career with PepsiCo in sales and sales management. He spent seven years with Boots and Knoll Pharmaceuticals in both regional sales support roles and brand management. Transitioning into the orthopedic sector in 1997, Brian has served implant and soft goods manufacturers in various marketing, sales and business development capacities. His passion is strategically blending marketing theory, clinical research, consumer behavior research, and business development. Brian holds a BBA-Marketing from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and an MBA in Marketing, Strategy, and Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He attended the William Scholl School of Podiatry and is an ABC certified pedorthist.
